Any month that opens with Mercury already in retrograde is bound to produce a few travel and communication headaches, however, October has the blessing of being relatively free from hard-angles involving the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) so even though we may be moving slowly and disappearing up a few blind alleys, it should all be to good purpose - we may even enjoy ourselves. The full moon in Aries on the 14th followed by Mercury's turning direct (15th) will clear up a few mysteries and bring to an end any doubts over the future of certain enterprises and politicians. The US election will be getting in full stride by then so it will be interesting to see what skeletons come rattling out of the Republican and Democrat cupboards, just in time to sway voters one way or t'other. Until the 23rd the sun and Mercury will be transiting Libra, giving all of us an opportunity to mend fences and find more balance in our lives but with Mars already in Scorpio and the sun's entry into this passionate and intense water sign on the 23rd, the fear and turmoil generated by the global economic tsunami will continue unabated. One other small point, on the 4th November the opposition between Saturn and Uranus reaches exactitude so the last few days of October may well see tensions escalating between opposing factions, wherever they may exist...
